Head of Global Pharma at ZS Named One of Consulting Magazine’s Top 25 Consultants of 2015

Pratap Khedkar recognized for excellence in leadership, driving growth in key practice area

EVANSTON, Ill.May 13, 2015 – Pratap Khedkar, leader of the global pharmaceuticals practice at sales and marketing consulting firm ZS, was named one of this year’s “Top 25 Consultants” by Consulting magazine.

Selected from a pool of more than 400 nominations for Consulting magazine’s 15th anniversary of the “Top 25 Consultants” award, Khedkar is recognized for excellence in leadership, particularly his financial and cultural impact on ZS’s pharmaceutical practice.

Khedkar is the sixth ZS principal to be honored with a “Top 25 Consultant” award. The 2015 award ceremony will be held at The Pierre Hotel in New York City on June 18.

 ‘A Maven Among Mavens’

Khedkar leads a global team of pharmaceutical industry experts to help clients on a wide range of issues, from multi-channel marketing to sales force strategy and effectiveness. He acquired a leadership role early on in his career at ZS, from being one of the youngest partners elected to the firm’s board of directors to opening a new office in Philadelphia.

Pratap’s impact on the pharmaceuticals practice stems from various initiatives, such as developing ZS’s Managed Care vertical – which helps clients target payer stakeholders and optimize the industry’s $35 billion managed care rebate spend. He also created the Customer-Centric Marketing vertical, which encourages the industry to integrate sales and marketing solutions around the customer via techniques that incorporate digital and non-personal tactics in addition to field reps in order to keep pace with changing customer habits.

Today, Khedkar is an active participant at global conferences and associations, and a recently elected member of the board of trustees of Virtua Health, a New Jersey-based integrated health system. He is also involved in various industry initiatives, such as most recently with the Healthcare Leadership Council to develop cross health care sector synergies.
