The healthcare industry lacks repeatable protocols and tools to assist healthcare professionals (HCP) who need to counsel their patients on the best options for managing conditions like psoriasis while maximizing the patient’s quality of life. Our top-20 global pharmaceutical client looked to ZS to craft a solution to function as a point-of-care shared decision tool.
Consults with psoriasis patients are widely inconsistent and based on the individual approach of each HCP. These consults can exclude the patient from decisions and make it difficult for individuals to communicate their priorities.
After developing a proprietary data set across multiple quality-of-life dimensions, we designed a solution with an easy to use, touch- and click-friendly interface. The solution brings confidence and consistency to the dermatology consult through immediate visualized results based on real-time inputs from the patient and HCP.
The result was an interactive tool that delivers real-time analytics and visualization to create a consistent, patient-centric, shared decision-making opportunity for physicians and their patients using evidence-based quality of life goals and measures. It achieved, on average, a 44% reduction in patient-physician consultation time with a 38% increase in patient satisfaction.
