Bas leads ZS’s relationships with pharmaceutical and medical device clients in China.
Bas has over 10 years of healthcare and financial services consulting experience in Europe, the U.S. and Asia. His expertise covers a wide range of sales and marketing issues.
During the course of his career, Bas has helped pharmaceutical and medical device companies on topics including business model innovation, go-to-market strategy, pricing, forecasting, marketing mix optimization, SFE diagnosis and improvement, sales force sizing, sales force structure, organizational design, segmentation and targeting, post-merger integration, divestments/carve outs and cost reduction.
Prior to joining ZS, Bas worked at Boston Consulting Group, where he was a principal in the Amsterdam office. He also founded his own medical device company, which he successfully grew through a number of acquisitions and exited by a sale to a financial investor.
Bas holds an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in physics from Leiden University in the Netherlands and an MBA (with distinction) from INSEAD.
