Chris has helped dozens of pharmaceutical companies differentially resource their sales deployments, leading to a multibillion-dollar industry cost savings.


Chris Wright joined ZS in 1989 when the firm was 5 years old with only 50 people on staff. As CEO, he helped the firm grow to over 9,000 global employees—affectionately referred to as ZSers. Chris has held several key leadership roles, including CEO for three terms, global pharmaceuticals practice leader and regional lead for the midwestern and western offices in the U.S. He has served on the firm’s board of directors for the past 20 years.


Chris has deep experience in a broad range of sales and marketing issues across the pharmaceuticals and healthcare industries and has helped over 100 operating affiliates of top global companies develop and implement commercial strategies. His international experience includes engagements across North America, South America, Europe, Australia, Asia and Africa. 


He was recognized as one of Consulting’s Top 25 Consultants for his innovative work to improve sales force effectiveness in the pharmaceutical industry.

Prior experience

Before entering the consulting industry, Chris was a CPA with Price Waterhouse in Chicago, IL.


Chris has a B.S. in accounting from Indiana University and an MBA with honors from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
