Role



Emily is a founding leader of ZS’s site and patient engagement and recruitment team. In her role as an engagement manager, she helps life sciences organizations improve the speed, cost and quality of their clinical trials by centering the patient and site experience in R&D decision-making. She partners with sponsors to infuse patient- and site-centricity throughout their organizations.

Expertise



Emily brings nearly a decade of experience in applying human-centered design to challenges across clinical development. She leads cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions, such as next-generation patient voice capabilities and trial acceleration strategies. Emily has conducted global field research with diverse stakeholders and is passionate about making healthcare more accessible, equitable and empathetic. She has also presented original research at the annual meetings of the American Anthropological Association, the American Ethnological Society and the Society for Social Studies of Science.

Education



Emily has a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College; an MA in media, culture and communication from New York University; and graduate training in applied medical anthropology from the University of Connecticut.
