James has a history of shaping ZS’s practices, such as the customer journey, digital marketing, launch excellence, portfolio management and marketing services practices.


As a principal in ZS’s pipeline and launch strategy practice area, James is focused on the future success of our clients by shaping the portfolio of products they are bringing to market and ensuring their launch success.




James has an extensive range of strategy, marketing and analytics experience that has evolved from working on pharmaceutical and healthcare industry issues for both U.S. and global clients over the past 10-plus years.


Most recently, James has led the development of commercial strategy and go-to-market plans for a range of biopharmaceutical clients, as well as portfolio management and analytics.



Prior experience

Before joining ZS, James worked in luxury hotel management and European real estate development. In these roles, he led the analysis of commercial developments to drive improvements in performance.




James holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, and an A.B. in economics from Harvard University.
