Jason has 25 years of consulting and research expertise in global HEOR. He leads ZS’s global HEOR group and has led global HEOR projects in over 40 countries throughout his career. As part of his role, Jason serves on the leadership teams for the value and access and R&D excellence practices areas.

Jason’s areas of expertise center around global health economics and outcomes research. He has been consulting in patient-centered outcomes and statistics since 1995 and has focused exclusively in healthcare value stories and other value and evidence areas since 2000. Through his Ph.D. in clinical psychology, Jason has been working to help different teams with sometimes very different views to center on the best way to describe a product or service’s core value aspects and doing so in ways tailored to different audiences.

Before joining ZS to start and lead the global HEOR group, Jason started and led the global HEOR team at PPD and led the patient-reported outcomes group at Covance—both of which are top-five clinical research organizations.  Jason has also served in global HEOR roles in industry (Amgen), academia (University of California, Los Angeles), and boutique patient-reported outcomes (QualityMetric) and statistics (Consulting Measurement Group) companies.

Jason holds a Ph.D. and MA in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. While there, Jason started a new Ph.D. subspecialty in applied clinical research, where he became the first student to graduate with this emphasis. He also holds a BA in psychology from the University of California, Irvine, and has a certificate in psychometrics from the prestigious psychometrics’ internship at Education Testing Service.
