Role
Kal Achanta is a manager in ZS’s New York office and a leader in the health plan and provider industry practice. Kal advises national and regional health plans across a variety of business issues and has led several large-scale transformational projects for ZS clients with significant impact on top and bottom line.
Expertise
Kal has expertise across multiple lines of business within health and group insurance, including commercial employer group plans, government plans (Medicare and ACA) and value-based care.
His select topic area experience includes go-to-market strategy, commercial excellence, advanced analytics and outcomes-based contracting.
Prior experience
Prior to working with health plans, Kal was focused on helping pharma and medtech companies with large-scale strategic transformations. Kal has managed and worked in several global teams with engagements in Slovenia, Denmark, Ireland, Mexico and the Netherlands.
Education
Kal completed an MBA at the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University, and has a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology.
