Kapila is the global lead for integrated product launch strategy and C-LAB™ (Cross-functional Launch Activity Blueprint) offerings, and leads the Midwest-based pipeline and launch strategy group.
Kapila has a breadth of experience across early stage innovation management and commercialization of novel assets. Kapila works primarily on early stage assets in oncology and rare disease with both established and pre-commercial organizations preparing for first product launch.
Kapila joined ZS in 2017, bringing technology transfer, company formation and biotech incubation expertise. She has led the spinout of dozens of startups out of academia and held leadership roles in early seed and venture funds. Kapila brings operating experience across the life sciences, healthcare and physical science industries, leading early stage innovation incubation and commercialization of novel products. She works across oncology and rare diseases with a particular focus on cross-functional planning and early asset opportunity assessment, product development, and all launch strategy, planning, readiness and execution workstreams.
Kapila holds a bachelor’s degree in materials science and engineering from Johns Hopkins University and is an executive scholar in innovation management at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
