Maria is a leader in ZS’s strategy and transformation practice, addressing a range of issues from organizational transformation and change to critical capability-building and upskilling. Maria previously lead ZS’s specialty therapeutics and oncology practice globally, ensuring that ZS has the people, expertise and innovative ideas to advance novel therapeutics in this dynamic and intensifying space. She’s passionate about helping ZS become the leading partner in developing and commercializing specialty therapeutics, and bringing hope and new therapies to the patients and families who need them.
Maria’s work with ZS has spanned many key areas of expertise, including strategy and transformation, marketing and sales, value and access, and early development and medical issue areas. Maria has a particular passion for helping clients make strong and focused strategic decisions that take into account the external environment and the internal organization, and develop a balanced implementation/execution mindset to ensure success. Maria has helped organizations set the strategy for competitive advantage, build capabilities, uncover rich customer insight and the actions to capture them, and challenge the thinking to optimize brand, portfolio and company performance. In 2015, she was listed as one of Consulting magazine’s top 12 women consultants.
Maria joined ZS in 2005. Her prior experience focused on direct response and relationship marketing and advertising across several industries, including healthcare.
Maria earned an MBA in global healthcare systems and marketing with honors from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.S. from La Salle University (magna cum laude).
