Role
Nicole has led ZS’s global marketing and communications functions since joining the company in 2023. In this capacity, Nicole works closely with ZS’s firm, client and practice leaders to help increase awareness of ZS and its unique ability to help clients prosper. Prior to this, she held chief marketing officer roles in both publicly traded and privately held companies. She has focused on driving business transformation, rebranding, new market entry and geographic expansion. With a career spanning both healthcare (pharmaceuticals, drug development and health insurance) and software and AI products (supply chain, ERP, manufacturing), Nicole brings both functional and industry depth to her role.
Expertise
Nicole has led marketing, communications and strategy functions over the course of her career and has repeated success in repositioning category-leading brands to achieve double-digit growth. With deep experience in software and technology marketing, Nicole has helped several companies successfully transition from on-premise to cloud offerings. She has also built and developed product and partner marketing functions. A strongly analytical leader, Nicole has held P&L responsibilities and has led pricing, customer renewal and customer fulfillment functions in the past.
Nicole has been recognized as one of the Top 50 Women Leaders in SaaS by the Software Report, Communicator of the Year by the Wall Street Journal and has served on several nonprofit boards. She is a current member of the CMO roundtable in Atlanta.
Prior experience
Before joining ZS, Nicole was CMO at Aptean, a private-equity-backed global software company. She also held CMO roles at Manhattan Associates and Covance, as well as leadership marketing roles at Aetna and Johnson & Johnson.
Education
Nicole holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree in English from Cornell University.
