Pete is a principal in ZS’s digital customer engagement (DCE) practice. The DCE team leverages digital technologies, analytics, AI, operations and strategy in an integrated, automated solution that enables our clients to optimize the customer experience, leading to faster sales growth. Pete supports clients across many industries, such as hospitality, travel and transport, high tech, financial services, agriculture, among others.


Prior to this role, Pete was the practice lead for ZS’s customer centric marketing (CCM) practice. CCM enables clients to optimize the customer experience by developing and deploying integrated promotion strategies based upon customer insights and preferences. The result is a sustained competitive advantage by consistently engaging customers and improving sales growth at scale.



Pete has 20 years of consulting experience both within and outside of the life sciences industry. His primary area of expertise is on helping companies design, deploy and optimize customer-centric business solutions to improve customer engagement and increase sales.



Before joining ZS, Pete spent eight years at Merkle, most recently as the chief strategy officer for the life sciences division where he launched Merkle’s life sciences practice in 2008 and captured six of the top 10 life sciences companies as clients. Before that, as vice president, Pete led Merkle’s relationships with key clients, including P&G, AARP, Nike and Bose, among others. Prior to Merkle, he was vice president of Health Products Research Inc., a division of inVentiv Health focusing on sales force size and structure, promotion response and optimization analyses, DTC optimization and territory alignments.



Pete holds a Ph.D. in economics from Rutgers University with a concentration in econometrics, and his dissertation was published in the Journal of Econometrics.
