Ty has advised nearly 100 companies on issues ranging from early commercial strategy to go-to-market planning and implementation.


Ty is a principal and global lead of ZS’s emerging biopharma practice. He is also the global co-chair for Women@ZS, a ZSer-led group focused specifically on developing allyship across ZS.


Ty joined ZS in 1994 and works exclusively with clinical stage, early commercial and mid-cap biopharma clients on a variety of issues with an emphasis on commercial strategy and execution. While his current focus is biopharma, he has worked across several industries including med-tech, high-tech and consumer products.


Ty has also been a featured speaker on sales effectiveness topics and has authored or contributed to several articles on topics such as using digital platforms for competitive advantage and sales in the digital age.

Prior experience

Prior to his current role, Ty served as the managing partner for both our San Francisco office and our Americas west region.


Ty holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.S. in biology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
