André Elder

Background and experience

André leads the information security function for ZS’s overall corporate information security strategy, security infrastructure, governance, risk management and compliance. He also leads the establishment of the product security strategy to support ZS’s scaling software offerings, its customer security program and evolving enterprise customer needs.

André has extensive expertise working in the medical device industry and is passionate about developing global solutions that enable businesses and improve local experiences. He has led the overall strategic direction for security services and information security initiatives, working with external and private sector clients. André is certified in global information security and operational enablement. In addition to earning CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), C|CISO (Certified Chief Information Security Officer) and Six Sigma Green Belt certifications, he has trained in executive business management, development and operations, as well as SAP, business processes, ERP platforms and IT strategy.

A U.S. veteran, André started his career in the U.S. Air Force and was later recruited to the National Security Agency. Before he joined ZS in 2022, André was the senior vice president and CISO at Magellan Health and the senior director of enterprise security and deputy CISO at BD. He’s also held positions at DXC Technology, Panasonic and Coach.
