Jay Lichtenstein
Background and experience
Jay leads ZS’s marketing practice area and is responsible for ensuring ZS is best-in-class for market research and solutions that help clients accelerate and drive growth. He is a seasoned strategy consultant and market research professional with over 30 years of experience, with particular emphasis on consumer-packaged goods, technology, financial services and pharmaceuticals.
Throughout his career, Jay has developed and implemented marketing strategies for numerous brands, created roadmaps for growth and trained companies in improved marketing processes. He has led engagements on segmentation, customer decision journeys, experience design, omnichannel marketing, digital transformation, promotion planning, new product development, brand positioning and more.
Jay is also a lecturer at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, specifically on topics related to marketing innovations, segmentation and AI applications in marketing and market research.
Before joining ZS, Jay led Rosetta Consulting’s marketing strategy group. He also developed Rosetta’s approach to digital engagement marketing, which drove Rosetta’s path to success. Before Rosetta, he spent several years as a marketing strategy consultant at both Monitor Company and The Cambridge Group.
