Background and experience
Vimbai is an associate principal in ZS’s Evanston office and a leader in the health plan and provider industry practice. She has many years of healthcare industry experience, specifically in care innovation, utilization management and health equity.
At the core of Vimbai’s passion is improving care and making an impact in the healthcare ecosystem. She has spent her career transforming programs to change people’s lives in a positive way. She has strong experience leading delivery and managing teams and has achieved success in developing innovative strategies, transforming programs and driving medical and administrative cost savings.
Prior to consulting, Vimbai spent almost a decade in behavioral health operations and led teams across the full continuum of care. She has also held roles in strategy development, solution design and subject matter advisory support. Her previous work in consulting included tenures at Accenture and PwC, where she primarily worked with health plans for government programs (including Medicaid, Medicare and Marketplace) in the middle office space, focused on utilization management, care management and quality.
