Why ZS?

ZS stood out for me in the recruiting process from other firms because of the data-driven aspect of their work. I was coming from a quantitative educational background, so I really appreciated the analytical nature of both the projects and people at ZS. I believe anyone with a strong technical background and an interest in consulting should consider ZS Associates.

My Favorite Project

Earlier this year, I was staffed on a sales force structure assessment project for a client preparing to launch new products in the coming year. While the timeline was particularly tight and the hours were long at times, the depth of learning in the short span of time and the sense of accomplishment upon completion of the project make this project my most memorable.

My After-Hours Engagement/Activities

I spend most weekends exploring Tokyo; there's never a shortage of things to do, whether it's restaurants, festivals, nightlife, sporting events, etc. I've also enjoyed traveling within Japan with fellow ZSers; just in the last couple months, we traveled to Iwate to volunteer at the site of the Tohoku Earthquake, and Yamanashi to climb Mount Fuji and watch the sunrise!

ZS Values

I believe knowledge sharing is central to the ZS culture. ZS offers many organized avenues to learn from others at ZS, such as brown bag training sessions and ZSU, the internal training website. I have found in my time here that those with expertise in the office are always ready and willing to teach.

My Advice for Potential ZSers

The best way to learn about ZS is to speak to a current ZSer. I learned a lot about ZS through a friend of mine from college who works in the Princeton office. It was tremendously helpful to be able to ask him questions about his life at ZS, and imagine myself as a part of the company.
