Medical
ZS offers comprehensive health insurance through PingAn Health Insurance Company. This plan includes up to 500 CNY coverage per policy year for self-purchased drugs.
Accidental death and dismemberment
ZS partners with PingAn to support your life risk needs. This policy covers up to 1,500,000 CNY.
Mental health support
ZS medical coverage through PingAn includes outpatient mental health care (2,000 CNY per visit, up to 20 visits annually), inpatient coverage up to 50,000 CNY (90 days/year) and 24/7 EAP support.
Dental
ZS provides comprehensive dental insurance through PingAn. The dental plan covers up to two cleanings per year and a 90% coverage for basic and major treatment with an annual limit of 8,000 CNY.
Life insurance
In case of an emergency, PingAn life insurance covers 500,000 CNY, with 30 days waiting period for newly joined members.
Critical illness injury insurance
The PingAn Illness Plan covers 150,000 CNY in case of an emergency, with 30 days waiting period for newly joined members.

Five Insurances and One Housing Fund
Enrollment begins from your first workday in China’s mandatory protection and includes retirement, healthcare, unemployment, workplace injuries, maternity & housing support.
Gym membership
Full-time ZSers at the ZS Shanghai office are eligible for a free membership at Z&B Fitness, which includes access to both the gym and group classes.
Advanced degree tuition support
ZSers with at least 36 months of tenure at the start of the program can apply for sponsorship to graduate studies.
Charitable donation matching
ZS will match donations and volunteer time up to an annual maximum of $2,000 USD (or your local country equivalent) per calendar year.
Work-life benefits

Vacation time
15 days/yr. Mgr+ & after 36+ months, 20 days/yr. 5 days/yr are required to be used. Up to 10 unused days may carry over. 50% of the carry forward is used by March 31; the balance by June 30.
Sick time
ZSers receive five days of paid sick leave per year.
Observed ZS holidays
ZS provides 25 days of national holidays, which include 6 weekend days. Observed national and customary holidays that fall on a Sunday shall be moved to the following Monday, per Chinese law.
Childcare leave
To help ZSers care for their family, all ZSers get five paid days off per year for children under three.
Travel assistance
Our travel assistance plan provides medical, security and logistical expertise to safeguard and support ZSers during business travel abroad.
Prenatal and nursing breaks
ZSers are entitled to time off for prenatal exams, daily 1-hour breaks after 28 weeks of pregnancy, and nursing breaks until the baby turns one year old.
Marriage leave
ZSers who obtain a marriage certificate while working at ZS Shanghai may take their entire marriage leave within one year of receiving the certificate, according to local government regulations.
Family and parental leave
ZS family leave program provides 10 weeks of paid time off for the birth of a child or the serious health condition of a family member.
Maternity leave
New mothers are entitled to 158 days of paid time-off with the birth or adoption of a child, with additional days for multiple births (+15 days per extra child) or complications (+15 days).
Bereavement leave
Bereavement time varies based on the relationship to the individual who passed.
