Our team works to innovate healthcare and beyond while connecting during office traditions like wine tastings, running clubs, dinners and kids’ celebrations. Expanding in 2021, ZS’s Berlin office is located in the heart of the city, allowing ZS to access world-class talent in areas including digital, technology, healthcare and more.

Health benefits

Germany Health Insurance
If you live in Germany, health insurance is required by law. You pay half of the cost and ZS pays the other half, with a choice between public and private plans based on individual circumstances.
Mental health support
ZSers and their immediate families have access to 24/7 emotional support through the Workplace Options Employee Assistance Program.
Accident insurance
ZS provides accidental death or disability protection for you and your dependents via Zurich. Coverage includes all accidents in private and professional environment, 24/7, worldwide, covered 100%.
Life and disability insurance
ZS provides fully employer-paid life and disability insurance through Zurich, with life coverage up to 2x salary (max 480,000 EUR) and disability coverage up to 4x salary (max 960,000 EUR).

Retirement planning
ZS supports a company pension with Allianz. 100% matching contribution by ZS up to 2% of the SSCC (in 2025 this is 161 EUR per month). ZSers can enroll after six months tenure at ZS.
Deutschland-Ticket Job ticket
In line with ZS's ESG ambitions we are subsidizing the Deutschland-Ticket for you, to promote sustainable transportation choices and collectively reduce our carbon footprint.
Advanced degree tuition support
ZSers with at least 36 months of tenure at the start of the program can apply for sponsorship to graduate studies.
Transportation reimbursement
If your project assignment involves frequent rail travel, ZS will provide a travel card for business travel. This card allows unlimited travel on Deutsche Bahn trains.
Charitable donation matching
ZS will match donations and/or volunteer time up to an annual maximum of 2,000 EUR per calendar year.
Work-life benefits

Vacation time
Full-time Germany employees with six months or more of ZS tenure will accrue 25 days of paid vacation annually in addition to national holidays.
National holidays
ZS provides 10 paid holidays.
Family and parental leave
ZS family leave program provides 10 weeks of paid time off for birth or adoption of a child or the serious health condition of a family member.
Sick time
ZSers receive up to 6 weeks paid sick leave a year.
Maternity leave
To give ZSers time away from work in conjunction with the birth or adoption of a child, birth mothers are entitled to 14 weeks of maternity leave and 10 weeks of family leave.
Back-up care
ZS has partnered with PME Familienservice to provide a family-friendly support benefit. This helps employees manage the demands of work and family, supporting a successful work-life balance.
Bereavement leave
Bereavement time varies based on the relationship to the individual who passed.
Travel assistance
ZS's travel assistance plan through International SOS provides medical, security and logistical support to ZSers during international business travel and certain emergency situations.
