ZSer thrives as consultant in life after campus

We recently spoke with Mansi Kanodia, a decision analytics associate consultant at our Pune office, to learn more about her experience transitioning from college to a consulting career at ZS.
Mansi joined ZS in 2020 and fondly recalls her first impressions: “The ZS interview process effectively assessed my ability to think critically and analyze situations, reflecting ZS’s commitment to hiring individuals with strong analytical and problem-solving skills,” she says.
A key factor that attracted Mansi to ZS was its inclusive culture and strong sense of community. The opportunity to work on challenging, real-world consulting projects has been central to Mansi’s growth in data analytics at ZS. From navigating complex client challenges to leading teams, she has consistently demonstrated both analytical ability and leadership potential. Her recent work analyzing patient-level data to uncover insights into product performance and market dynamics reflects her commitment to delivering value to clients.
“The primary challenge our client faced was a consistent decline in drug sales. They needed to understand the root cause. To address this, we examined patient claims data, which gave us a full picture of the treatment journey—including medication changes. We identified key competitors, cost differences, dosage cycles and other contributing factors. Despite tight deadlines, our team delivered insights that helped the client take action,” she explains.
Mansi believes ZS is not only a great place to start a career in consulting but also an environment to grow and expand one’s horizons. “ZS has given me many opportunities for leadership and personal growth. My mentors helped me recognize my strengths and areas for improvement and guided me in setting clear career goals. ZS also helped me strengthen my networking skills. These experiences have shaped both my professional and personal development.”
She’s also found lasting friendships through ZS—her chai friends, 3 a.m. friends, and road trip friends. Thanks to that support, her college-to-corporate transition was smooth. “Moving from college to the corporate world often means leaving behind close friendships. But at ZS, you find that same camaraderie—colleagues who are welcoming, supportive and always willing to help you grow. What also sets ZS apart is the respect for personal boundaries and understanding during emergencies. I faced a difficult phase where I needed help balancing personal and professional demands, and my team was there every step of the way.”
