When Carolina Blanco started as an intern in ZS’s Buenos Aires office, she wasn’t sure where her career path would lead. But three years later, she was promoted to associate consultant, an achievement that reflects her curiosity, her impact and the supportive culture that’s helped shape her journey.
Embracing growth and responsibility
During her internship at ZS, Carolina was immersed in real project work—an experience that exceeded her expectations of what an internship could be.
“From the beginning, I was included in client-facing activities,” she says. “I had a great consultant on my team who pushed me to grow, always in a supportive way. He gave me space to lead calls and take on work I didn’t yet know how to do, then helped me learn it.”
This early exposure to ZS’s collaborative culture and focus on development gave her a strong foundation in consulting and the confidence to grow. After completing her internship, Carolina joined ZS full time as a business technology solutions associate.
Where passion changes lives
On the business technology solutions team, Carolina works at the intersection of technology and client engagement, supporting data engineering and analysis. She builds tech solutions that make it easier for clients to find and understand important insights.
“I really enjoy the work I do because it’s the perfect mix of challenge and support,” Carolina says. “I get to keep learning, whether it’s new technologies or new ways of working with clients, and I’m surrounded by people who genuinely want to help each other grow. Every project feels like an opportunity to make an impact for the client, the world and my team.”
In her role as associate consultant, Carolina is already beginning to accomplish goals for clients and guide others on her team to do the same.
“I’m learning how to delegate and spot people’s strengths so I can assign tasks in a way that sets everyone up for success,” she says.
A mindset for curiosity
When asked what has helped her succeed at ZS, Carolina emphasizes two things: Staying open to learning and being an effective communicator.
“There are so many different technologies, industries and types of projects here,” she says. “If you’re curious and willing to learn, you’ll grow. And communication is key—ZS really values open dialogue, both with your team and with leadership.”
Celebrating success outside the office
Carolina marked her promotion with a trip to northern Argentina, where she hiked, unplugged and sampled local food. “It became a ‘promotion trip’—a way to celebrate everything I’d worked for,” she says.
As she looks ahead, Carolina is excited to continue learning and mentoring others. For interns or new grads wondering whether ZS is the right place to start a career, her advice is simple: “If you’re ready to grow and want to do work that really matters, ZS is a great place to be.”
