In today’s fast-moving environment, digital disruption has led to, quite simply, too much data. The size and complexity of disparate data sources—along with the need for real-time, AI-driven insights—means that rigid and centralized architectures and tools need to adapt and should be more accessible. The continued survival of any business depends upon an agile, data-centric architecture that responds to the constant pace of change.

To support our clients with the exponential growth of data and enable them to perform real-time analytics in a cost-effective manner, ZS has partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to design multiple reliable, secure and scalable solutions leveraging Amazon Redshift. Amazon Redshift is a fully managed, petabyte-scale data warehouse service in the cloud. Clients can start with just a few hundred gigabytes of data and scale to a petabyte or more. This enables clients to use their data to acquire new business and customer insights.

ZS’s Redshift-enabled solution has resulted in:

  • This post by ZS on AWS’s Big Data blog provides an approach for loading a large volume of data from S3 to Amazon Redshift, and how to apply efficient distribution techniques for enhanced performance of reporting queries on a relatively small Amazon Redshift cluster.
  • This AWS case study shows how ZS helped a client migrate its on-premise solution to AWS leveraging native services including S3, EC2 and Redshift. The solution achieved a 50% cost savings and reduced processing times from nine hours to one hour.
