Ahmed’s digital health journey started as a student, developing a health IT platform to deliver secure messaging in underdeveloped communities in Africa and LATAM. Ahmed then spent several years at Sapient, taking on large scale engineering programs during the dot-com boom. This prepared him for his role at Mass General Brigham (MGB), then Partners HealthCare, leading their Advanced Technology Group for Research. As lead technologist, Ahmed developed expertise and appreciation for complex problem sets in clinical research, care delivery, and personalized medicine. Ahmed founded Medullan immediately after his tenure at MGB, bringing innovative thinking, solution incubation and program development to some of the largest payers, providers and life sciences companies. Ahmed regularly offers formal and informal advisory to digital health startups.
Ahmed holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and information systems from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
