Background and experience

Anne leads ZS’s medtech strategy and portfolio business, helping healthcare and life sciences companies shape growth strategies, optimize portfolios and strengthen market impact. Anne joined ZS in January 2021, after a long career that spans the broader healthcare ecosystem, ranging from life sciences and the medtech industry to the hospital and provider side, along with healthcare delivery and access. At ZS, Anne leads the strategy and portfolio development business in medtech, working with Fortune 500 companies and investors to drive growth and create value. She is an expert in developing growth strategies that unlock the future value of innovations and help companies meet their business objectives.

Over the years, Anne has supported many companies as they addressed a range of complex business issues, including portfolio strategy and management, market opportunity and forecasting, market access and market entry into the U.S., Europe, Japan and various growing markets. She has also advised countless investors on due diligence with mergers and acquisitions, leading to successful global transactions. Her expertise spans the medtech industry, with heavier emphasis on high-value capital equipment, surgical and interventional devices, diagnostics and monitoring technologies. Anne is frequently asked to present at industry conferences as a thought leader and future-thinker on value-based growth strategies, specifically how to develop transformational strategies that align with stakeholder and customer needs to maximize the value of new technologies.

Prior to ZS, Anne built and led medtech strategy consulting practices at Huron Consulting Group and ClearView Healthcare Partners. She was a managing director and member of the life sciences leadership team at Navigant (formerly Easton Associates). She spent several years in hospital administration within academic medical centers, managing the neurosurgery division at the University of Chicago and the pulmonary and critical care medicine division at NYU. She began her career in industry at Vertex Pharmaceuticals as part of the original strategy and R&D planning group.
