Piers served as a Captain in the U.S. Army, leading tank and scout platoons while deployed to Iraq.


Piers is an Associate Principal in ZS’s New York office, and is a leader in ZS’s consumer and growth marketing practices. He works extensively with firms to uncover insights that drive customer-centered growth strategies.


Piers has worked with companies across multiple industries, including financial services, high tech, consumer products & retail, and pharmaceuticals. He has developed and implemented marketing strategies for numerous brands, created roadmaps for growth, and trained companies on improved marketing processes. Piers leads engagements on segmentation, new product development, digital transformation, strategic planning, demand landscapes, and portfolio optimization.

Prior experience

Prior to joining ZS in 2020, Piers was a vice president in corporate strategy and development at OppenheimerFunds, where he guided the firm’s distribution and marketing teams through a customer-focused strategic planning  and reorganization effort. Before that, he was an associate partner at Rosetta Consulting, where he developed marketing strategies for brands including BlackRock, SalesForce, and Timberland, and led the creation of Rosetta’s Digital Roadmap offering.


Piers has a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Pennsylvania.
