Sharma is a certified global health professional and epidemiologist who has worked in pharma R&D for more than 15 years.



Role



With over 15 years of experience in life sciences, predominantly in the R&D area, Sharma helps several pharma clients optimize clinical trials end to end through advanced analytics and data science, big data technologies for data management and governance, real-world evidence and other advisory and consulting services.

 

 

Expertise



As a consulting, analytics and technology professional within the life sciences clinical R&D space, Sharma has a wealth of experience in clinical process optimization, pre-clinical toxicology and safety assessment, patient enrollment and retention, epidemiology and observational studies, investigator/site selection and feasibility, protocol optimization, real-world data and evidence (RWE), trial marketing, end-to-end study management, study budget optimization, pharmacovigilance and digital health solutions. Sharma has extensive hands-on experience in clinical and real-world data, including but not limited to EHR, claims, registries, hospital EDI, sites and investigators, open sources like WHO and AACT, and internal sources like CTMS, EDC and IxRS.

 

 

Prior experience



Prior to ZS, Sharma worked as a management consultant with Cognizant Business Consulting and at Advisory Board Company, mainly in the life sciences and clinical R&D spaces across the U.S., Europe and Asian markets.

 

 

Education



Sharma holds a global MBA from SP Jain School of Global Management and a bachelor’s in information technology from SRM University. He also completed the executive program in information science and management information systems at Stanford University and is pursuing a doctorate within the global health program at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine.
