Tarun is proud of his accomplishments in managing end-to-end commercial operations for large global sales teams.


Tarun is part of the consumer practice at ZS where he focuses on activating B2C demand through AI-based platforms and offerings. He currently works with Asia-Pacific clients in issue areas related to sales, marketing and supply chain. As managing principal of ZS’s Pune office, Tarun leads the overall strategic direction of ZS’s largest office. Prior to his current role, Tarun led a 50-member team serving a global pharmaceutical client on sales and marketing issues, while also managing ZS’s business operations capability group in India.


Tarun has worked across pharma, consumer packaged goods, retail and hospitality verticals at ZS, in areas such as commercial strategy and operations, sales force effectiveness and consumer demand activation. Tarun also teaches a class called Rethinking Sales Force Effectiveness for senior executives at the Indian School of Business.

Prior experience

Before joining ZS, Tarun worked as a customer relationship management consultant for clients across industries such as retail, consumer goods and IT services.


Tarun holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business in marketing and leadership and change management. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the Indian Institute of Technology in Roorkee.
