Cody is a leader in ZS’s pipeline and launch strategy practice, including serving as practice lead for the firm’s business development and licensing work. His role includes working with clients on business development issues throughout the life cycle, as well pipeline and new market strategy across both development and commercial-stage companies.
Cody’s business development and licensing expertise spans a range of topics, including new market and inorganic growth strategy, asset and portfolio valuation, global commercialization strategy (including partnership vs. go-it-alone decision-making), asset and partner selection, due diligence, deal negotiation and integration planning.
His expertise in pipeline strategy and new market entry includes franchise growth strategy, portfolio valuation and optimization, indication selection, life cycle management, and geographic sequencing and prioritization.
Cody originally joined ZS in 2006 and later re-joined in 2016. Prior to re-joining, he was a consultant with both L.E.K. Consulting and the Frankel Group (now part of Huron Consulting).
Cody holds an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and a B.S. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
