Role



Ed helps clients achieve success through superior customer experience. He leads teams that integrate ZS expertise to measure, design, build and deliver improved customer experience, bridging capability gaps to deliver impact in the market. His work with clients helps them increase brand relevance, create new customer value and preference and change customer behavior to achieve strategic objectives.

Expertise



Ed has over 30 years of in-line marketing and consulting experience in the life sciences industry as well as medical devices, diagnostics, health insurance, healthcare services, connected healthcare ecosystems, healthcare private equity and numerous marketing-driven industries outside of healthcare. His experience is equally weighted across B2B, B2C and B2B2C focus.

 

Ed’s primary area of expertise is customer experience, including strategy, design, execution and organizational capabilities development. Ed has deep experience in customer insights, human-centered design, innovation, digital transformation of sales and marketing, patient experience and adherence services, brand-led growth and customer-centric business transformation.

Prior experience



Prior to joining ZS, Ed was a partner at Prophet Brand Strategy where he was co-head of the healthcare practice. Ed led the life sciences vertical while also working outside of healthcare to develop and translate customer experience and brand strategy best practices for the healthcare industry.

 

Ed began his healthcare career as a sales rep at Merck before taking roles in brand marketing. Ed started his consulting career at The Wilkerson Group, a healthcare strategy consultancy, and later rejoined John Wilkerson at Galen Partners, a healthcare private equity fund, where he invested in revenue-stage life sciences and tech-enabled services companies.

Ed holds an MBA and a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
