Stefan has contributed to securing reimbursement for 50-plus global launches and supported multiple clients in establishing a commercial presence in the U.S. and Germany.


As the lead of ZS’s value and access practice, Stefan develops solutions that enable clients to achieve market access for their innovations.



During his 20 years at ZS, Stefan has advised many large pharmaceutical companies as well as small to midsize biotech companies on sales and marketing strategy and implementation. Stefan also engages with several thought leadership initiatives and supports many ZS project teams globally with his expertise on the global payer environment.


Although Stefan has been working primarily with U.S.-based pharma clients during recent years, he has also been working on projects in many international markets and is familiar with key pharmaceutical markets in Europe, Asia and the Americas.


Prior experience

Prior to his current role, Stefan was based in ZS’s Frankfurt office, where he worked on a broad range of commercial strategy issues across European countries.



Stefan holds an MBA from INSEAD, and a B.A. and M.A. in economics from Cambridge University.
