During the hiring process, ZS India will collect information about you in order to consider you for open positions. This information may include information you provide on a CV, information about your education provided by the school you attended, and information acquired from a background check.
Once you become a part of the ZS India team, we will collect additional information for the provision of pay and benefits, among other aspects of the employer-employee relationship. The information we collect before and during your tenure at ZS will include sensitive personal data (SPD), which may consist of:
- Financial information, such as bank account or credit card or debit card or other payment instrument details;
- Physical, physiological and mental health condition;
- Sexual orientation;
- Medical records and history;
- Biometric information;
- Any detail relating to the above clauses as provided ZS India for providing service; and
- Any of the information received under above clauses by ZS India for processing, stored or processed under lawful contract or otherwise:
Provided that, any information that is freely available or accessible in public domain or furnished under the Right to Information Act, 2005 or any other law for the time being in force shall not be regarded as SPD or information for the purpose of this Policy.
ZS India will only collect this information with your written consent (contained in your Employment and Confidentiality Agreement) or if the information is collected for a lawful purpose connected to the provision of employment with ZS India and such collection is necessary for that purpose.
ZS India will keep the information we collect about current ZSers for as long as the employment relationship lasts or as required by applicable local law.
You have the right to review the information and SPD that you have provided to ZS India. If you find any information you provided to be inaccurate or deficient, we will work with you to correct it.
You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time before or after you have provided us with your information or SPD. You must do so in writing. Please note that ZS India will no longer be able to consider you for employment or keep you as an employee should we no longer be able to use your personal information or SPD for the provision of pay, benefits, etc.
ZS works with a number of service providers in the course of everyday business. We have service providers that assist us with employee and candidate travel, the processing and distribution of paychecks and bonuses, the provision of benefits and other insurance services, as well as providers for the support of core business functions (e.g., software and server space). We never provide ZSers’ personal information to third parties that are not engaged in a service relationship with ZS, and we ensure that our service providers adhere to the same level of data protection that we do.
We are a global company, and your information may be transferred throughout our offices worldwide. We are headquartered in the United States. Your information is transferred in accordance with the requirements of our intergroup data transfer agreement, and ZS follows the OECD’s eight privacy principles.
We provide reasonable and appropriate physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards intended to maintain the confidentiality of the information and SPD we collect. Please be aware that, although we endeavor to provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.
