Our people are ZS’s most valuable asset. That is why we make a unique effort to assign every ZSer a professional development (PD) coach on their first day. PD coaches dedicate part of their time to growing talent through individual conversations and group sessions. By working with a PD coach, ZSers are able to unlock their potential and maximize performance at every stage of their career.
This was the case for Kevin Santo, strategic insights and planning manager in Frankfurt, who worked with his PD Coach Mark Saunders to grow from consultant to manager.
Santo credits a lot of his career success to conversations with Saunders. “Mark became my PD coach when I got promoted to consultant,” says Santo. “I had only a few interactions with him before he became my PD coach, but I always liked his positivity and his way of providing tangible feedback. I really appreciate that Mark not only helped me get established as a consultant, but also constantly reminded me to think about my next step towards becoming a manager. That helped me become more assertive in my interactions with other ZSers and clients.”
Looking back on their coaching conversations, Santo says the impact has been immeasurable. “When we discussed the areas I should focus on, he clarified that I should not underestimate my capabilities and the impact I can have on clients and within ZS. This PD talk helped me draw a much clearer picture of my professional development and my journey within ZS.”
