ZS named a Top 10 Company for Women in India

ZS India is ranked among the Top 10 Companies for Women in India by Working Mother and Avtar—a leap from its position among the top 100 over the past three consecutive years. The ranking in the “Best Companies for Women in India” study recognizes ZS leadership in the areas of women's career advancement, paid parental leave, childcare assistance, benefits and flextime, among a host of other programmatic initiatives that support women long term over their careers.

“Creating a culture of operating with care is core to us, and we will continue to provide inclusive, progressive benefits to help ZSers succeed both at home and work.”

Apoorva Aggarwal, Principal, New Delhi

Apoorva Aggarwal, managing principal in ZS’s New Delhi office and global Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) member, said, “We believe in continually developing ways to provide a truly inclusive work environment for all our people. Diversity at all levels is imperative to us, and this recognition reinforces the many initiatives that we as a firm are launching to support working parents. Creating a culture of operating with care is core to us, and we will continue to provide inclusive, progressive benefits to help ZSers succeed both at home and work.”

The study, now in its sixth successive edition, was jointly conducted by Avtar and Working Mother Media with 334 companies participating, representing many industry verticals. ZS is honored to add this recognition to our awards and accolades for creating diverse, equitable and inclusive workplaces that include: “Outstanding Workplace for Women” by the Business Council for Peace as part of its Women Forward Awards; “Best Company for Women,” “Best Consulting Company” and “Best CEO for Gender Diversity” by Fairygodboss; “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality” for three consecutive years by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.

ZS is focused on creating an environment and culture where women can grow their careers and feel invested in across many programs, from coaching to employee resource groups. Today, WLI is among the diverse and inclusive ZS-led specialized development groups that set our people-first culture apart. WLI in India hosted this year’s annual WLI Summit, centered on the theme of amplifying the vision and voices of women. The summit creates a platform for women at ZS in India and allies to connect on diversity and inclusion, share success stories of women in leadership and learn from personal experiences.

“Being part of WLI for about five years now, I can say that platforms like these ensure that women feel empowered and confident in every decision they take,” said Richa Arora, a consultant in the New Delhi office. “WLI gives me an opportunity to connect with a strong leadership team at ZS in times of need and also provides me a medium to help other fellow ZSers in their path of success and growth! The mentorship opportunities offered by WLI provide a system where women can discuss their challenges openly and share their success stories with others.”

Sonam Surana, a consultant in the Pune office, agreed: “WLI made me feel empowered enough to make my own decisions. It helped me manage personal, as well as professional goals, and succeed in the role of consultant.”

With access to a variety of resources; learning programs, including career planning and mentorship; flexible work hours and generous care for working mothers, women at ZS can find the support they need to succeed on their unique journeys. If you’re looking for an inclusive, dynamic environment to share and grow your expertise, ZS is hiring women professionals and students for multiple positions in the India offices.
