Where passion changes lives
2022 was an amazing year for me. I got married in April and then received one of the best pieces of news of my professional journey—I’d been promoted. I am incredibly grateful to the amazing team members who have supported and guided me for the last couple of years! The opportunity to learn, experiment and grow together is tremendous at ZS. I’ll be travelling during the holiday season to celebrate my promotion, and my family loves spending their time on the beach.
I was promoted mid-cycle and was able to take time over the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday with family on a trip to Washington, D.C. To be honest, I wasn’t celebrating the promotion as much as I was celebrating life and appreciation for cheerleaders. My family and friends have always been supportive. This was our first holiday together without my dad (who helped me plan the trip before he passed in April) and I am proud to say we had an awesome time—it was fun, reflective, delicious and (being in D.C.) educational. My family is most important to me. I hope my work at ZS reflects who I am to my family, my faith and the values we prioritize. I’m grateful for the acknowledgement by my manager Thiagi Suryanarayanan and his consistent and persistent support for a more diverse, inclusive and equitable ZS. I cannot stress how steadfast and progressive his support has been. I do hope my promotion will attract a strong succession opportunity for future ZSers interested in this role.
I am super excited to start my journey as an associate consultant in the ZS research and development space! This promotion could not have come at a better time—it coincided with my birthday as well as my trip to Thailand and India. I had the most amazing time celebrating life and my promotion with my friends and family (and also some elephants). I’m now equally excited to return from vacation and continue to do innovative work at ZS that impacts patients’ lives.
I am thrilled to take on the new role of manager. Reflecting on my seven years here at ZS, I struggle to find suitable words to describe the experience. I am grateful to my colleagues for their continuous hard and smart work, and my seniors for their constant support and guidance. I am here because of my team. I can’t thank each of my team members enough for their contribution to my success. To celebrate, I had a combined birthday and promotion party, attended by nearly 40 of my team members. This was definitely one of the best parties I have been a part of in recent times.
When the promotion news came out, I was ecstatic. 2022 was a really challenging year for me with many ups and downs. Ending it on a high note just made all the effort worth it. It was a double celebration for me as my birthday was also around the corner and I celebrated it with my friends in Phi Phi Islands, Thailand.
When I look back at my ZS journey, the magnitude of growth I have seen in my professional and personal life is unimaginable. It’s all because of the opportunities and support I got from my team and seniors. The people and culture at ZS helped me push my limits to achieve my goals and be the best at what I do.
