In August, Kumar Ritwik, a principal in our Boston office, will celebrate 15 years with ZS. He attributes this milestone to two things: Consistently engaging work and a culture grounded in meaningful, collaborative relationships.
“When I joined ZS straight out of school, I never imagined it would become the only job I’d ever want,” Ritwik reflects. “I started in our Delhi office and moved to Boston in 2015. What’s kept me here isn’t just the role—it’s the constant evolution of the work itself. Even after all these years, I find myself energized by the challenges we solve and the impact we create.”
From broad exposure to deep expertise
Ritwik spent his early years with ZS working with a single global pharmaceutical company, where he gained exposure to a full spectrum of commercial analytics. “Even though I was working with the same client for years, it never felt repetitive,” he says. “From deep dives into patient-level analytics to strategies focused on providers and payers, every project was a new learning curve. That variety helped me grow from a generalist to a true specialist.”
Now Ritwik specializes in orchestrating integrated sales and marketing strategies for healthcare clients. The work is about more than just campaign performance, it’s about delivering smarter, personalized experiences for doctors, nurses and their patients.
“Our goal is to harmonize the sales and marketing journey so that every engagement, personal or digital, feels cohesive to the doctors providing care,” he explains.
Where passion changes lives
Ritwik’s team works at the intersection of AI, strategy and creativity. Integrating sales and marketing is crucial in healthcare because it’s not just about running campaigns—it’s about building intelligent, connected ecosystems that ensure doctors receive timely, relevant and consistent information when it matters most.
When sales reps are empowered with predictive, data-driven insights, they don’t just deliver a pitch—they offer value, tailored to each physician’s unique needs and patient population. That level of personalization drives engagement, but it also changes outcomes. It means the right treatments reach the right patients faster, helping them get better care.
People matter most
And it’s more than the work that has kept Ritwik at ZS for 15 years. It’s the people. “The culture here is one where I’ve consistently worked with folks who are not only brilliant, but also kind, collaborative and endlessly supportive,” he says. “I’ve collaborated with some colleagues for over a decade, people I truly enjoy working with and respect. It never gets old.”
Ritwik also finds joy in casual conversations with colleagues he doesn’t directly work with. “It’s just a good group of people to be around—they’re smart, grounded and always willing to collaborate.”
Looking ahead
For Ritwik, the blend of innovation, purposeful client work and a strong internal culture continues to be a winning combination. “I’ve never had a reason to look elsewhere. There’s always something new to learn and always great people to learn from.”
